This brief looks at the proclamation signed by the Roman Catholic Church in Poland and the Russian Orthodox Church, calling on the two nations to reconcile. The authors argue that given the substance of the proclamation as well as the close cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and Russian state authorities, the meaning of the document goes beyond the religious sphere and constitutes another step in the Polish–Russian dialogue.
