This paper talks about the political situation in Thailand with a particular focus on political conflict and confrontation in the country. It explores the country's 2011 elections, the 2007 constitutional amendment, the effect that political party policies have on the country's socioeconomic conditions, and the extent of democracy in the country. It also looks at possible scenarios for democratic change and conflict transformation related to the country's politics of succession.
