Publication

This issue of Study Group Information was published after the launch event and seminar on the "Action Plan on Defence Institution Building (PAP-DIB)" in April 2005 in Tbilissi, Georgia. The Swiss-Georgian event was implemented by the Parliament and Ministry of Defence of Georgia and the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF). PAP-DIB focuses on democratic control of defense activities, the improvement of the management of defense ministries, compliance with internationally accepted norms, transparent financial allocation procedures, as well as effective international cooperation and good neighbourly relations. The publication contains the speeches and results of the conference. Two contributions are available both in Russian and English.
