In February 2012, Serbia and Kosovo reached what is known as the 'asterisk agreement' which allows Kosovo to represent itself at all regional meetings with the nameplate of “Kosovo”. The author concludes that the situation remains unsustainable and a more comprehensive solution needs to be found.
