The author assesses US-Pakistan relations towards the second part of 2012. Even though this is one of the worst periods of the history of the relationship between the two countries, several encouraging developments have taken place. The warns, however, that these constitute the eye of a Pakistani storm that is almost sure to whip up again in 2013, if not sooner.
