This paper focuses on the territorial dispute surrounding the Preah Vihear temple and its surroundings on the Thai-Cambodian border. As a long-simmering dispute, it has often resulted in military confrontations, large numbers of casualties, and the displacement of thousands of people. According to the author, nationalist sentiment and power politics in both Thailand and Cambodia make finding a solution to this dispute increasingly difficult.
