This paper addresses the democratization process in Egypt after Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood was elected President in June 2012. Referring to a previous research in 2008 that compared how three different Islamist movements in Egypt, Indonesia and Turkey adapted their ideas and activism to democratic or electoral participation, the author aims to shed light on current political position of the Muslim Brotherhood.
