The articles in this monograph examine whether Western powers have exaggerated the importance of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict while derogating the importance of the new Iranian role in the region. Among other things, the authors discuss Iran’s “second” Islamic revolution and the country’s strategic vulnerabilities. The authors conclude that Iran’s use of terror proxies in its race for regional supremacy is the primary cause of instability in the Middle East.
