This policy brief addresses the restructuring of EU and US irregular migration policy. With a goal of better management of the phenomenon as a whole, it provides recommendations aimed at redefining irregular migration policies to be more manageable and mutually advantageous for destination countries and immigrants. The three main points for the EU and US are to: restructure economic arrangements with sender countries; increase incentives for legal migration; target regularization policies for individuals and for the labor market.
