This edition of Potentia aims to bridge the supposed divide between theory and practice in international and public affairs. It features articles that contain theoretical puzzles as well as articles that speak directly to substantive policy concerns on a wide range of issues. A particular focus lies on texts that examine the relationship between academic research and ideas on one hand, and domestic and international policy on the other. Accordingly, this volume includes papers from individuals in both communities – in academia and in policy – and from a wide range of fields.
