The term 'trustworthy person' has been coined by security sector institutions during the development of the National Action Plan for Implementing R1325 in Serbia. It describes a person who will mediate, provide counsel, and initiate action to settle gender equality and discrimination-related disputes. This paper discusses this mechanism and the reasons for its introduction.
