This paper provides an analysis of NATO defense plan reforms. It briefly outlines NATO’s overall strategy, examines how it can be translated into defense planning and how it could influence the sense of security of member states. The author argues that although the Alliance is attempting to create leaner, better equipped deployable forces, it is losing capabilities crucial for both projecting power and territorial defense.
