This annual report presents the activities of the Project on Advanced Systems and Concepts for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (PASCC). Established as a research unit to plan and conduct strategic and future-oriented research studies into the full spectrum of threats posed by WMD, PASCC links social science and technical domains to investigate and anticipate WMD capabilities, intentions and countermeasures 5 to 20 years out. Research is conducted regarding cooperation between state and non-state actors, the application of deterrence, new methods of confidence building and information sharing as well as risk management strategies for bio-security.
