This report makes policy recommendations on the issue of biosecurity. The authors provide an overview over the dangers and major challenges in the area and address biosecurity prevention and response. After presenting the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BTWC), the report puts a special focus on the Asia Pacific context, addressing biosecurity legislation, centers and projects. The authors conclude by discussing codes of conduct, bioethics and biosecurity education.
