Thia issue of INSS Strategic Assessment discusses regional stability in the Middle East. It investigates Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons and its potential triggering effect on a regional arms race. I looks into the consequences of American withdrawal from Iraq for the country and the Arab world more generally. Additionally it investigates relations between Turkey and Northern Iraq, the US strategy on Israeli settlements and the institutional transformation of Hamas and Hezbollah.
