2015 will mark a moment of truth for the international community as the era of the Millennium Development agenda (2000-2015) comes to an end. This policy brief assesses the efforts made so far to eradicate world poverty. It concludes that the polarization of world poverty into “fragile” and “strong” states poses a puzzle that requires rethinking at both global and national levels.
