In the context of South Korea's growing importance to the economic well-being of the Gulf, as well as its unprecedented involvement in non-traditional ventures such as the nuclear energy projects in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia, this paper presents an overview of South Korea-GCC economic relations. It analyzes the different aspects of the relationship from a macro perspective examining both its energy and non-energy dimensions. It provides an insight into the scope and intensity of South Korea-GCC linkages and how they have evolved as a whole.
