This issue focuses on a wide variety of human rights themes. The first section includes articles on extraordinary renditions, genocide prevention and response, and the ACHPR in the Case of Southern Cameroon, as well as a discussion of the constitutionality of the Maria da Penha Law in Brazilian courts and the universalization of human rights and migration, followed by articles on citizen security and human rights, ranging from discussions of transnational organized crime, civic participation and democratic security, to papers on the current human rights agenda in Argentina, drug policies, and police units for neighborhood pacifications (UPPs) in Rio de Janeiro.
