This commentary considers the implications of the Czech Republic's presidential election in January 2013. The author suggests that the election may help shape the Czech Republic's future relationship with Poland and the European Union. Specifically, the outcome could affect the country's skeptical attitude toward European integration and lead to deeper cooperation with Poland on EU affairs.
