This report sets out a roadmap to implement the so-called ASF (African Standby Force) Civilian Dimension Implementation Plan. Put forth by the Peace Support Operations Division of the AU (African Union) Peace and Security Department, this plan envisions guidelines for the time frame of April 2007 to December 2008. Aspects included in the plan range from integrated missions policies, human resources policies, gender as well as HIV/AIDS policy, to conduct and discipline, training, capacity building and programs to raise awareness of the civilian dimension of ASF.
