This report outlines the major themes raised at a policymakers' dinner on 29 November 2012. Participants discussed the principle challenges of achieving greater coordination among European Union (EU) member states and the potential benefits of a more cohesive approach to European health security. Participants also articulated the need for improved public-private cooperation and the integration of new technologies in order to better manage risks. Overall, all sectors of society need to work together in order to mitigate crossborder threats to health.
