In this talk, Iver Neumann discusses the major issues in the International Relations discipline. Neumann explores the central challenges confronting the discipline, with a particular focus on the study of diplomacy. The discussion addresses the relationship between International Relations and other social sciences and the potential to learn from other fields. Neumann suggests that the discipline should remain open to new perspectives so that it can develop innovative approaches to the study of global challenges.
