This note details the political developments in Northern Ireland in 2012. It discusses a reform of the assembly and executive, a consultation paper on the executive and a research paper on justice and policing. It further describes the legislative programme 2012-2013 in detail and discusses members of parliament and their activities. Additional issues discussed are the North South Parliamentary Body, the appointment of a new secretary of state in Northern Ireland, a murder in prison, the Pat Finucane review publication and a party funding exemption from disclosure in Northern Ireland.
