This article proposes methods for stopping conflict related sexual violence. The author argues that the existence of armed groups which prohibit sexual violence illustrates that prevention during conflict is possible. The routes outlined in the article include changing norms, improving reporting, assuring the accountability of military commanders and ending impunity.
