The policies of the Georgian coalition government led by Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili's party, Georgian Dream–Democratic Georgia (GD), are described by political opponents as pro-Russian and a departure from previous pro-Western policies. In this article the author argues that there are no significant markers indicating a change of the pro-Western integration paradigm of the previous Georgian government. However the paper also argues that the main threat to the process of Georgia's rapprochement with the EU is the risk of the implementation of selective justice by authorities towards their political opponents.
