This report summarizes a SDA/Friends of Europe policy debate on the French military intervention in Mali. In the debate, Arnaud Danjean, a French Member of the European Parliament and Nicholas Westcott, Managing Director Africa, European External Action Service (EEAS) look at what the French intervention reveals about the effectiveness of the EU's Common Security and Defence Policy.
