This report provides an overview of US policy toward Latin America and the Caribbean, including the Obama Administration’s priorities. The author examines changes in the region’s economic and political environment that affect US relations with the region, and analyzes US policy toward the region. He further examines congressional interests in Latin America, looking at selected regional and country issues.
