This report analyzes the different aid policies of the BRICs and the motivations that guide these. The authors find that some BRIC donor policies conform with the Euro-Atlantic status quo, for example Brazil's policy reflects the nation's aim for a seat on the UN Security Council while China's reflects its need for resources.
