This commentary discusses the role the 'Two-State Solution' played in the 2013 Israeli elections. Opinion polls show that the situation prior to these elections was very similar to that prior to elections in 2009. This is because the 2013 poll, which presented Israelis with a peace plan based on the Clinton Parameters, found that 52% of Israelis supported the proposals. Yet just two months later, the Israeli electorate voted for a Knesset in which 54% of its seats went to parties that are officially against the Clinton and Geneva peace plans.
