This issue of the CAD looks at Georgia’s domestic politics nearly six months after opposition gains in the nation’s parliamentary elections. The first article focuses on the continuing struggle for power between President Saakashvili and his foes in parliament. The second article wonders whether the recently empowered Georgian Dream Party is pursuing justice or revenge by arresting some of the country's former leaders. Finally, both articles confirm that continued political infighting in Georgia is only aggravating the country’s financial and social problems.
