This paper argues that Poland has yet to appreciate the importance and value of the Indian economy, both to the world and itself. Indeed, Warsaw may see India as a relatively distant and difficult partner, but the opportunities to expand Polish exports and investments, especially in times of economic stress, are too great to ignore. The report's author therefore not only suggests that the private sector needs to learn more about the Indian market and prepare itself for high entry costs, but that the Polish government also needs to facilitate greater economic cooperation. It can do this by intensifying political dialogue, launching an India-specific promotional campaign, and strengthening cultural cooperation.
