This is a transcript of a discussion on the future of Afghanistan. The participants were Robert Johnson, Director of The Changing Character of War Programme at the University of Oxford, Jawed Nader, Director of the British and Irish Agencies Afghanistan Group, Matt Waldman, Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University, and Michael Keating, former UN Deputy Envoy to Afghanistan. In their talk, the speakers provide insights into how the international troop withdrawal will affect security in Afghanistan, while further offering their thoughts on strategies to maintain security beyond 2014.
