In this talk, Fiona Hill from The Brookings Institution discusses her book "Mr. Putin: Operative in the Kremlin" which she sees as a contextual biography of Vladimir Putin. She provides insight into how she identified the multiple identities of Russia’s president, ranging from Putin as a "statist", "history man" and "survivalist" to Putin as the "outsider to the Soviet system", the "free marketer" and "case officer."
