This is a transcript of a discussion with Evgeny Morozov, contributing editor at The New Republic and author of a book on 'technological solutionism'. In his talk, Morozov defines 'technological solutionism', discusses how it works and addresses some of the consequences. He also offers insight into why Silicon Valley technology companies are positioned to play a growing role in solving some of the world's problems.
