This brief talks about China's increasing aid donorship and the EU's reaction to this trend. It argues the EU's reaction has been incoherent and that it needs to assess how to adapt to the changing situation. The author argues that the EU should seek dialogue with China and attempt to coordinate its own efforts with theirs. She also thinks they can help developing countries maximize the benefits of investment by new donors like China through improving governance frameworks.
