This working paper addresses the Indian and Chinese participation to the global health management. New global health problems include infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, bio-terrorism and dual-use research, health-system strengthening, and critical social determinants of health, such as food security. Among the new actors, India and China have significant unrealized potential in redefining the global health landscape through participation in global health-norms setting and capacity building at the global and regional levels.
