This paper discusses US strategy for engagement in the Middle East in the face of a shifting regional landscape. The authors argue that the new dynamics hide risks but also provide opportunities for US interests. They present a number of policy recommendations and conclude that the US should not be drawn into inaction but rather should lead without dominating.
