This report features an overview of an SDA debate which in March 2013. The focus of the debate was the planned withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan in 2014 and the prospects and challenges facing the country after the withdrawal has taken place. The participants included Afghan journalists who urged the Western forces involved in Afghanistan not to abandon the country once the withdrawal is complete. This is because they want these forces to continue to safeguard the country's post-conflict transition.
