This issue of the Perspectives on Terrorism addresses a number of issues pertaining to the field of terrorism studies. Articles featured in this issue range from an analysis of the processes of disengagement and de-radicalization in regards to terrorism, to a discussion of different definitions of terrorism and their shortcomings. It further includes an examination of the shifting US rhetoric in the global War on Terror and its implication for counterinsurgency and containment.
