Feb 2013

In this paper, the author talks about why he thinks Bersani’s coalition, built around the center-left Partito Democratico (PD), lost the Italian election in February 2013. He suggests that the PD lost out to Grillo and Berlusconi due to their position on the euro, unemployment, and an inability to mobilize public energies.
