This policy brief looks at the political scene in Egypt with particular focus on the National Salvation Front (NSF). It describes the founding of this secular opposition group and its measure of support. The authors suggest that political actors need to reconcile in order to deal with the country’s economic and political problems. Furthermore, without this reconciliation all political parties will lose support.
