This paper provides an overview of the threat of terrorism in Kenya. It also looks at those factors which create radicalization within the country, especially among young people, and gives recommendations to help reduce them. The author argues that the main threat comes from extremists trying to divide the country between the Muslim community and the rest of the population. She suggests there is no easy solution to the country’s problems. However, the government could help the situation by providing the tools needed to reduce discrimination.
