This paper analyzes the impact the Eurozone crisis will have on Europe’s capability to exert influence beyond its borders. It includes a number of papers which focus on a range of topics, however three key arguments are addressed by the authors. First, that Europe will emerge transformed from the crisis, but the nature of this change remains unclear. Second, that Europe's influence in the world will be reduced as it will remain inwardly focused. Third, that the crisis is damaging the perception of Europe among external powers and that this could have implications on its relations with the US and NATO.
