This study presents the findings of a national survey that concentrates on Nepal's turbulent transition from civil war to peace. The survey -- which is based on 3,000 interviews, assorted focus group discussions, and data collected from official, non-governmental, and international sources -- confirms that Nepal's security landscape has improved, but the country remains highly volatile and susceptible to future political and ethnic crises.
