This report examines Caribbean regional security, especially with respect to the trafficking of illicit drugs. Despite considerable progress, the region is central to the movements of narcotics into the US and sophisticated criminal organizations continue to operate there. The report summarizes the major challenges and provides recommendations focusing on US policies concerning money laundering, law enforcement, regional cooperation and extradition.
