This policy brief provides insights into Greece's relations with Central Asian countries and its overall strategy in the region. It looks at Greece's approach in areas such as trade and energy, security as well as development assistance. The author concludes that Central Asia is not a priority in the Greek foreign policy agenda and will probably not become a priority in the foreseeable future. Furthermore, given the country's difficult economic situation and the closure of diplomatic missions to reduce costs, Greek diplomatic presence in the region will probably not be strengthened in the short term.
