This paper discusses the criticism of the free movement regime in the EU. The UK has been leading calls among older member states to implement more restrictions, but so far newer members have resisted participating in discussions on the topic. The authors argue that certain members will pursue unilateral action if discussions do not start soon. They recommend that Poland build a coalition of newer members to prepare a constructive response.
