This document discusses the Mediterranean Solar Plan project. Specifically, it looks at the conditions under which obstacles to the success of the plan can be overcome so that it could become an instrument for Euro-Mediterranean integration. The authors summarize the projects involved, their funding and their regulatory framework. They also analyze the Mediterranean Solar Plan as a means of integration and explore the role of renewable energies as a means of sustainable development in the Mediterranean.
