This study examines the development of the South Korean defense aerospace industry. It also examines the extent of South Korea's dependence on the US and the feasibility of Korean attempts to pursue more diversity in the acquisition of air weapons systems, with a focus on efforts to build non-American business relations. The paper concludes with a set of policy recommendations.
