This brief asserts that the Syrian conflict is accelerating the decline of Lebanon’s political institutions and poses a serious long-term threat to the country's economy. The author details the economic challenges that Lebanon faces, particularly in light of the Syrian uprising, and offers his recommendations on how to avoid a protracted economic crisis.
